Gorna Oryahovitsa or гaрa Горнa Оряховицa is a major railway station located in central Bulgaria on the line from Bucharest, Romania to Sofia, Bulgaria and is the transfer point for those travelling along that route to branch off to Veliko Tarnovo.
Gorna Oryahovitsa has power outlets for charging your devices and signs that say that there is free WiFi available as well (we were unable to connect when we were there, however.) There is a cafe and a steamed corn stand.
Buying international tickets is easy but you have to know where to go. Out on the platform there is a little room with a door labelled as such, but you have to know to look for it. It is not with the normal ticketing booths.
Unlike many smaller train stations, Gorna has digital signage both internally as well as on the platforms which makes it far easier and more accurate to get on the correct train. There is also underground passages taking you between the tracks.
We found on our stop that the international ticket office had little problem speaking in English or several other languages making everything very easy.
